Christmas Dinner at The Blean Tavern.

Our first annual Christmas dinner has been provisionally pencilled in for the evening of the 20th of December.

The cost will be £25 per person for a three-course meal. Members will need to indicate their interest so that we can make the dinner reservation and collect deposits.

Here’s the menu to give you an idea of what’s on offer.

STARTERS:

Roasted Parsnip & Cumin Soup | Salmon Gravadlax & Water Cress Salad | Caramelised Onion & Goat Cheese Tart | Duck Confit Rillettes with Orange Marmalade.

MAINS:

Risotto with Butternut Squash & Sun Blushed Tomato topped with Spinach and Pecorino | Roasted Monkfish with Confit Tomato served with Garlic and Rosemary mashed potato | Roasted Turkey served with Pigs-in-Blankets Sage & Onion Stuffing,  Seasonal Veg  Roast Potatoes,  Bread Sauce & a Cranberry Jus | Sous Vide Striploin of Beef with Fondant Potato, Roasted Root Veg and an Oyster Bay Jus.

DESSERT:

Christmas Pudding with Creme Anglaise & Brandy Sauce | Forest Berries & Chantilly Cream Meringue with Fruit Coulis | Chocolate Fondant with Vanilla Ice Cream, Raspberry Powder  & Hershey’s Chocolate Sauce | Cheese & Chutney Selection.
